About Us

Pennine Way Primary School is a successful school based in Harraby, Carlisle. The school has over 550 pupils at the moment and growing from 2 form to 3 form entry. We have 3 forms up to Year 5.  Although we understand the importance of academic achievement and have high expectations for this, we also place great importance on our children’s happiness and well-being and have a brilliant pastoral provision; we are a happy school!

We place a huge importance on the children’s wellbeing.  The school is proud of its many achievements and believe that this is because we work in partnership with our children, families, staff and the local / wider communities.

PWPS is part of the Harraby Campus. The campus comprises of the school, Harraby Community Centre , Community Development Centre, Community Cafe,  Family Action, St. Aidan’s Nursery and Harraby Theatre. The school also has access to amazing sports facilities. These consist of full-size 3G football pitches, muti-skills pitches, indoor sports hall and a 1km cycle track.
