Curriculum Badges and Advocates

Curriculum Badges and Advocates

Curriculum Badges

As part of our ethos of sharing and celebrating successes, all pupils in the school can work towards achieving curriculum badges. Our initial focus on this are our badges for:

  • C.A.R.E- modelling and being an advocate for our school values or being Co-operative, Accepting, Respectful and Empathetic.
  • Reading- progress and achievements in reading
  • Times tables- achievements of rapid recall of times table facts from a given times table.

These are undermined by our spiritual, moral, social and cultural values which value pupils and encourages them to hold, their attitudes towards learning, knowledge and society as a whole.

Subject Advocates

Subject advocates are being developed at the moment, with each class teacher being able to select a pupil to be an advocate in a certain subject and wear an arm band to demonstrate and celebrate this.

Arm Bands

As well as badges and our advocate roles, pupils can work to receive a coloured armband for a specific role and purpose within school. Examples of these include:

  • School council
  • Junior Governors
  • Healthy choices
  • Mental Health ambassador
  • Lunchtime helper
  • Breakfast club

Our pupils take these additional roles very seriously and make us proud with their choices and enthusiasm for additional responsibilities within their wider school community.
