We are proud that Pennine Way Primary School continues to be recognised as a Good school by Ofsted. Our most recent inspection took place on 8 and 9 June 2022, with the report published on 26 July 2022. Inspectors confirmed that the school continues to provide a good quality of education for all pupils. 

 

Highlights from the Inspection

Inspectors noted that:

  • "Pennine Way is a happy school." 
  • Pupils are taught to value cooperation, acceptance, respect and empathy. 
  • Children are proud of their school and are eager to learn. 
  • Leaders have high expectations for pupils' learning and behaviour, and pupils respond well to these expectations. 
  • Pupils behave very well in lessons and around school and feel safe in school. 
  • The school provides a broad and ambitious curriculum that enables pupils to achieve well. 
  • Staff identify and support pupils with SEND effectively, helping them to be successful in their learning.

Key Stage 2 Results 2025

In 2025, 69 pupils completed Key Stage 2 assessments at Pennine Way Primary School. The results below compare the school's outcomes with local authority and national averages.

Progress Measures

The Department for Education has confirmed that Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 progress measures were not calculated for the 2024/25 academic year because there is no Key Stage 1 baseline available for this cohort due to the impact of Covid-19 disruption.
